AI Passport — Manifesto
A compass for everyone contributing to this project.
For mission and north star, see VISION.md.
-
AI identity belongs to the user. Not OpenAI. Not Anthropic. Not Cursor. The user.
-
AI providers are guests, not owners. They read with permission. They never own the passport.
-
Privacy is the default. No grant, no data. Revocation is immediate.
-
Permissions are explicit. Every section shared must be deliberately approved.
-
Open specification over vendor lock-in. Format is documented. Anyone can implement.
-
Local-first whenever possible. The passport lives on the user’s device before the cloud.
-
Interoperability over ecosystem isolation. One identity works across AI systems.
-
Security before convenience. Encryption and scoped access are non-negotiable.
One identity. Every AI.
